Fixing Our Defense

We did some minor adjustments to our gate yesterday. We fixed this nice green PVC netting to inhibit unknown adolescent dog from entering our house (obviously an adult dog won't fit through the gate bars). Previously, last weekend, a lost wandering teenage dog entered our drive way via the gate and destroyed 2 of my healthy grown chili plants. I was so furious after realizing my beautiful chili perished after the dog's attack.

Somehow, on another occasion, the same little dog came in again and attempted to get close to my youngest daughter, it was nearly licking her. Luckily, my wife managed to grab hold of Alya and chased the dog away.

It's not that we don't like dogs. Dogs are cute and adorable but being Muslims, we are prohibited from touching them. We don't want to go through the trouble of washing our affected body parts with seven earths to cleanse it. Well, that's what our religion has restricted us. I hope nobody is offended.

It was quite a troublesome process to fix it and I thank my wife for helping me twirling the steel wire to attach the netting to the gate. However, watching it nicely fitted to the gate makes me forget of how irritated I was when it seems like it will never end earlier. It looks quite nice, isn't it.

That's good, I'm glad you got the green stuff up over the fence to protect your family and chili plants from the doggies!

Hey, I'm the first commenter here, too.

And I didn't know that about being forbidden from touching dogs.

I learn something new everyday.

My stinky dog (a Rottweiller) sits right near my feet as I type this.

We've always had dogs as pets. Growing up, one of my dogs would fall asleep in my bed sometimes!

Probably really gross-sounding to you...

Have a happy day,
Paula

Noooopppp...it's not gross for me...I do love animals...especially cats and dogs....

We used to have cats but we stop having them after my son was born.

Then we have marine fish, but later I discover that it's difficult to take care of them while I'm outstation....

Anyway, I'm really glad that you learn something new...

And I'm happy that you like reading my blog...

Zaki, it's washing with earth and then rinse with running water (or any other mutlak water source) for the 1st step, and then, keep on rinsing with clean water 6 times. And that's the samak procedure.

Why does that doggy wanna crash those chilli plant huh...kasi dia makan cili baru tau. Try la zaki, con him into adding some of ur cili in his dog biscuit/food. U prolly no longer need to fix a gate net anymore.

Manal,

I'm actually right. I told Zura the same thing like you said. However, she argued with me saying she's correct...So, for that time, I just let her win.

Thanks for explaining it. At least now, she admitted that she's wrong...

Hehehe...I didn't really argue about it but you surrendered too fast. I remember that I said I wasn't really sure my dear....
